Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

A time where something in my life changed more quickly than expected was my transition into highschool. I entered high school completely new. I had just moved here from Newnan, and I did not know anybody around here that I could talk to. I had to look at a map to find my way around, and talk to people to make new friends. Luckily, a couple girls in my grade introduced me to a lot of people. I then became friends with this group really fast. It was a quick and drastic change from middle school. I realized that high school had a lot more freedom than middle school, and I was very happy about that. This idea relates to the phrase "nothing gold can stay" because nothing lasts forever, like middle school, and eventually we have to grow up.  I was absent

In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

One time that I had to set a boundary with a friend was when they kept drinking out of my water bottle. I have an extreme problem with other people making contact with something I use to drink or eat. I am not really a germaphobe, except when it comes to that. Everyday, she would ask if I had water and drank out of my water bottle straw multiple times. eventually, I had to tell her that I had a problem with people drinking or eating after me. This didn't hurt our friendship because she understood, she was just thirsty. we completed a commonlit  I learned how to analyze the mending wall poem

Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

A time where I paused to reflect of nature was when I was riding a horse up a mountain in Colorado. When we reached higher up on the mountain, we could see a beautiful range out beyond. I noticed the sounds of the wind and the horses walking, as well as the snow on the top of the mountains in the range. This moment of stillness changed my perspective because I realized how amazing the earth is to create views like that. I developed great appreciation for nature from that trip.   We did a one pager on a poem this day. I learned about the acquainted to the night poem by Robert frost

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

My favorite word is probably "like". This word is used in many different situations, including describing something, as a filler word, or showing something your interested in. I use this word many times every day, and even in almost every sentence. Although it is technically a bad habit to have by using it as a filler word, i feel like it helps me explain my point and get my thoughts out.  today we finished up and worked on our slideshows today I learned that we have vocabulary Mondays!

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Imagination helps me cope with stressful situations in multiple ways. When I am stressed, I don't like to think about the situation, and I usually find something to distract myself. Imagining scenarios and creating happy visual images in my head helps me forget about the problems I currently have. It also helps me by providing a way to go through the problem and find a solution.  I was absent

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

a time when I faces a dangerous situation that demanded my complete focus was when I was doing a high ropes course at my camp. I usually never do anything that involved heights since I have a fear of falling. However, a lot of my friends were doing it, so I decided to try it as well. I was attached to a rope which multiple other ropes so I was most likely safe, but there is always a chance something can go wrong. I carefully stepped my way across the obstacles and jumped down at the end.  today we read the poem out out and reflected by answering questions on writable I learned that we should be more empathetic about human life

What did you do over break

Over break, I used my free time by sleeping and staying in bed a lot. I like to be comfy and not have much to worry about. However, on thursday my mom and I drove to athens to see a concert. We saw rainbow kitten surprise, which is one of my favorite bands. They put on a great show, and the venue was really pretty. Other than the concert, we did not do much over break. I still had a good time and was happy to stay at home.  Today we used to e vocab words to make a comic strip. I learned the new vocabulary terms and what they mean.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

A time when someones words had a lasting impact on me were when my teacher once told me "everything happens for a reason." Ever since, I have come back to this quote when in doubt. Whenever I am worried about being late, or something like traffic, or an inconvenience, I remember that everything happens for a reason. I learn to trust that whatever comes at my way is meant to.  Today we reviewed claims and evidence and explained why it was poor. Today I learned that you cant use contractions in formal paragraphs.

oct 3Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

Something I have always been curious about is where we go after we die. Although I am religious and believe in Jesus, I still have occasional doubts in my head. I believe that we go to heaven, but even that limits my knowe=ledge of where we go when we die. I don't know what heaven is like, or what the environment will be. It always scares me so I try not to think about it.  Today we wrote a paragraph by collecting evidence and explaining it for our unpopular opinions.  I learned that you need a a counterclaim for an essay to prove your point.

oct 1 write about the best gift you have recieved

The best gift I have received that I can think of is my trip to Europe. My mom and some other family members helped pay for a trip to Europe this recent summer. It was the most fun I have ever had. I have always wanted to leave the country and travel, and that finally happened. I visited 4 countries and saw so many things with my friends.  today we chose unpopular opinions and wrote a claim about it  I learned that you cant use second or first pov's in claims and essays.

write about a dream that felt real

a dream that felt extremely real to me was when I had taken melatonin, and I had a very vivid dream. Specifically, I was stuck in an arcade/playground area, and I had to get through a dark and colorful obstacle course through the playground. It had many trippy illusions along the way, and it was very hard to see. There were some people in the dream that I don't remember as well. It felt so real because I felt stuck when I couldn't get out, and I got really scared.  Today we wrote the lesson 3 vocabularyy and did a newsela on cancel culture.  today I learned that cancel culture might just be accountability for the privileged.
