Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

A time where something in my life changed more quickly than expected was my transition into highschool. I entered high school completely new. I had just moved here from Newnan, and I did not know anybody around here that I could talk to. I had to look at a map to find my way around, and talk to people to make new friends. Luckily, a couple girls in my grade introduced me to a lot of people. I then became friends with this group really fast. It was a quick and drastic change from middle school. I realized that high school had a lot more freedom than middle school, and I was very happy about that. This idea relates to the phrase "nothing gold can stay" because nothing lasts forever, like middle school, and eventually we have to grow up.
