How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Although I haven't completed it yet, the annotated bibliography has changed my understanding of the topic because it has made me realize how the sources connect to each other. they connect to each other because they are about the same topic and are discussing similar things, and although they have different opinions it shows that they are both related and affected in some sort of way.  We were finishing up our annotated bibliographies  I learned how to construct an annotated bibliography

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

The most challenging part of the annotated bibliography for me is the summary. This part is the most challenging for me because it is hard to decide how to get so much information into just 3 - 4 sentences. It is also hard to read that much information in such a short amount of time, so you mainly have to skim and then summarize the main points. however, its hard when there are many different little topics that are important.  I was absent

As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

As I was gathering sources I was noticing that there were some different perspectives on my topic which made it difficult to see which sources were credible and not extremely biased. I wanted sources that had opinions, but that weren't so overly biased that they didn't have reliable information on them. I learned that there were some, you just have to keep looking through them.  I was absent

Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Using Galileo to find sources has been different from how I've searched for information in the past because it has allowed me to get more precise websites. I have also discovered that Galileo allows me to get specific sources by typing in certain keywords. I can also navigate through it by choosing which types of sources that I want to get.  Today we began researching our sources.  I learned how to navigate through Galileo.

Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

In this image, Trump, his administration, and ICE are being criticized. it is showing a cartoon where trump is attempting to distract the United States people from what in going on in our country. he does this by saying Iran is attacking Israel, and he does this literally because he tries to ignore the violence and harm that he causes on innocent people that he claims are undocumented immigrants. The cartoonist wants the audience to rethink what is going on in the US, not that what is going on in other countries doesn't matter, but the ICE violence deserves more attention.  Today we discussed sources and skimmed through them.  I learned how to skim through a source and find the main idea.

Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Creating specific search phrases is different from regularly googling things because it allows you to search around a topic. when you search around a topic, or things that are similar, you get more outside and connecting information that you can use to help support your argument.  today we wrote down 10 search phrases with our group  I learned how to search around a topic

Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

What makes this topic difficult to answer if that I don't know much information on it, and its also a very hard and sensitive topic to talk about for other people. One perspective could be people who have been affected by terrorism, and another perspective could be people trying to counter terrorism by defending themselves. Multiple viewpoints are important because you need to understand where all sides are coming from, because none of it is easy.  today we wrote research questions  I learned how to research around our topic
