In Into the Wild, Christopher McCandless gives up many of his possessions in pursuit of freedom and meaningful experiences. If you had to simplify your life and keep only a few important possessions, what would you keep and why? What would be hardest to leave behind?

If I were to simplify my life and keep only a few possessions, I would keep my phone, my car, and my savings. this sounds almost exactly the opposite of what Alex decided to do. I would keep these possessions because I prioritize having shelter and something to travel with, along with something to keep in contact with people, and emergency money. The hardest things I would have to leave behind would be all of my other belongings like my bed and all of my clothes, and especially my guitar.

I learned more about myself by answering personal questions, and more about the book itself.
